Well, you've scrimped and saved, and now have an impressive array of Lotus models...the next question is "how do I display them"?
Several manufacturers have released 1:18 cases, including AutoArt or Carney Plastics. However, for those of you that primarily delve into the 1:43 scale Lotus models (IXO, AutoArt, Kyosho, Minichamps, and Spark are the manufacturers that come to mind that have released Loti in this range), there a few "accessories" that are worth noting in this month's issue!
Snap-On, yes that Snap-On tool company, has just released a few diorama accessories that give your 1/43 Lotus model an extra touch! All of these are true scale from
TrueScale Miniatures with all the proper markings that go along with it! The details is quite impressive!!!
First up is a
Snap-On Tools Twin-Post Lift a true life saver if you have to replace that (1:43) timing belt in your Lotus Esprit! Or if you are space challenged by your wife's Minivan too.
Next we have the
Snap-On Tools Garage Essentials. This set contains such necessities as jack stands, tool chests, even a fender cover! Again, the detail is spot on, and remember, it's in 1/43 scale. I was very impressed with the detail that Snap-On put into these.
Last up is the
Snap-On Tools Shop Essentials. It's everthing you could wish for in your garage...only in 1/43 scale! This shop essentials set even comes with the obligitory coffee mug...caffene does wonders in a garage!
I am sure they would be a welcome addition to your collection. Last I checked, Jim at Diecasm (www.diecasm.com) still had these in stock, so give him a call or email. Your 1/43 Lotus will thank you for it!
Until next month, happy hunting!
