1971 saw the Golden Anniversary for the Lincoln marque, and the third and final year of Lincoln Continental Mark III production. Sales were better than ever, at 27,091 almost equal to the Eldorado's, a harbinger for the new decade.
Little changed from the 1970 model; tinted glass became standard, as did automatic climate-controlled air conditioning and SureTrak anti-lock brakes. High-back seats became standard, and a rare special-order floor console was made available. Horsepower remained unchanged at 365, but the 460 cid V8 engine gained a more sophisticated thermostatic air cleaner assembly with its associated ductwork.
In its second annual King of the Hill contest Motor Trend (July, 1971) again gave the Continental Mark III the nod by a wider margin than 1970 despite the Lincoln being basically a warmed over 1968 model while the Cadillac was all-new from the ground up. M/T noted that the Mark III's leather interior was far more luxurious and better detailed than the test Eldorado's nylon cloth and the Continental's real wood dash trim was far more attractive than the Cadillac's simulate.

This model expands the 1:24 scale models by Automodello into the post-War era.  These fine quality resincast models set a new standard in fine resin models.  Combining state of the art resin casting technology with old world craftsmanship, this new line was designed and developed by legendary automobile designer in real and miniature Raffi Minasian for Automodello.

What better car to expand the Automodello AM24 collection after the inaugural release of the 1938 Phantom Corsair in February 2012.  This model continues a collection that features some of the most elegant and revolutionary automobile designs of the twentieth century which includes the upcoming Mormon Meteor.

Hand Painted automotive quality paint ensuring an enduring finish. The paint and trim are polished by hand resulting in an absolutely gorgeous show-winning finish. Interior materials are textured to accurate scale. Interior gauges are highly detailed. Carpeting is flocked to scale. Excellent fit on all seams. Raised chrome foil used on all emblems and lettering.  Tail light lenses are replicated with tinted red lenses. World class finish throughout.  Closed resin model (no openning hood) with rolling wheels.

Automodello is a manufacturer specializing in overlooked, neglected and interesting models from British, European, North American and other marques. Automodello's inagural model was the 1964 Griffith Series 200 followed by the 1974 to 1976 Bricklin SV1, the 1966 Fitch Phoenix, the 1966 Griffith Series 600, and the 1938 Packard Twelve Convertible Victoria.  Amelia Island Concours d' Elegance, The Desert Classic, The Milwaukee Masterpiece, and the Glenmoor Gathering of Significant Automobiles have all selected Automodello as the Official Model for their events, and, the Packard in Berkshire Green Metallic was selected as the Official Model for the 46th Packard Automobile Classics 2011 National Meet.

Automodello Limited Editions
When Automodello produces limited editions, the built quantity does not expand if demand exceeds edition quantity.  For example, when the Automodello 1938 Packard Twelve Convertible Victoria built for the 46th Packard Automobile Classics 2011 National Meet or the 1972-1979 TVR M-Series Homage Editions sold-out, Automodello does not built more.  Instead the edition is closed and retired.  If there are any Press Cars remaining, these are then sold with a Press Car plaque until they too are retired.

July 20th 2014 Update
Automodello announced today the Tribute Edition in Ginger Bronze has been retired.  The 6 remaining Press Cars are now available.
