1964 Lotus Type 30 S1 and 1968 Lotus 56

March 2011:
Matt Slayton of Lotus Notus - the monthly newsletter of the Lotus Corps - takes a peak at a few new releases from Spark, in all their 1/43 hand-built glory. Those that have been following my articles know that I have been very impressed with the Lotus line from Spark. First, they release models that might not otherwise see the light of day (a lifeline, if you will, for diehard Lotus collectors), second, the detail is incredible (again, hard to believe this from being hand-built), and third, they are limited releases (which means, possibly, a return on the investment at a future point in time). These two models are no exception!. Reprinted here.

1963 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Coupe

November 22nd 2010:
This Autoart iteration of the classic C2 ’63 split-window is done so well and with such great flair it will put a smile on any car guy’s face. This 1:18-scale image is beautifully finished in Daytona blue with an intricately realistic red interior. Underhood is the iconic Rochester fuel-injected 327-cid V8 surrounded by every decal and accessory found in the 1:1. All panels are fully operational. The glazing is crystal-clear, and the foil badging is delicate and accurate. The stance and proportion represented on this replica are five-star. Reprinted here.
